How do people think? My whole life I’ve used my empathic nature and analytical mind to investigate this question.

Ten years of research experience culminated in a Ph.D. in Psychology from New York University. My dissertation work focused on understanding how people value their own sense of agency, and how that impacts learning and memory. I also investigated how these processes develop from childhood into adulthood. My studies involved creating video games that were accessible to participants of all ages that allowed us to learn about their learning by analyzing how they played the games. Outside the lab, I was always intrinsically motivated to improve things that weren’t working. I was elected student representative for my doctoral program and methodically reorganized our department’s interview weekend to benefit current and prospective students. In my spare time I enjoy embroidery, photography, and fostering animals.
